A Charlotte-based non-profit organization recently united the local community to celebrate the opening of its new service center. Block Love Charlotte held a ribbon-cutting ceremony this past Saturday at the facility, which is located on North Graham Street near Atando Avenue.

Block Love Charlotte, a local organization, is dedicated to connecting individuals with various community resources, assisting in the search for affordable housing, and providing workforce development classes. They have already initiated fundraising efforts to establish a community hub on the property.

Executive Director and Founder Deborah Phillips expressed the organization’s commitment to meeting community needs within the new facility. “Whatever they’re asking for, we’re going to put in that building,” Phillips stated. She outlined plans for the hub, which include an art studio, photography classes, educational courses, a stage, and a kitchen, all aimed at enhancing the community’s access to creative and practical skills.
