The Chicago Sky forward continues to impress in her rookie WNBA season
Angel Reese confessed to leading a double life with her persona on and off the basketball court as the Chicago Sky star admitted she likes to by a “girly girl” but can happily switch to a killer mentality in WNBA games.
The 22-year-old sixth pick of the 2024 Draft is known for her confrontational personality and willingness to sacrifice whatever is needed to pick up a win after four quarters, which is part of why she won the NCAA Women’s Division I championship with the LSU Tigers in 2023.

But there is also a softer side to the young woman, as she admitted she likes to look good and feel good and enjoy her life through ventures such as modelling.
“My nails and hair and stuff are always done,” Reese said of how she behaves outside a basketball jersey to People Magazine. “I’m being the girly girl on the court but still having that dog mentality and being able to go out there and compete too.”
“I live, I guess, a double life. Off the court I model, I take pictures, I like to dress up and have fun – and then on the court, I’m about my business. I love to work hard, I love to win. I’m a winner, so whatever it takes to win.”
What would Reese do differently to herself?
Reese is set to star alongside the Indiana Fever‘s Caitlin Clark in the WNBA All-Star game for Team WNBA on Saturday, July 20 at the Footprint Center in Arizona, Phoenix.
And although she has clearly turned out to be a successful player, earning around $325,000 dollars per year, she admitted she would give herself some different advise as a youngster.
“Be who you are and not care what anybody else thinks,” Reese added, on what she would say to her younger self if she could. “Everybody’s always going to have an opinion – if you’re the greatest or the worst.
“I am who I am, and I accept who I am. People are going to either love it or hate it. I think that separates you from whoever else.”
