A guard of King Charles III has captured attention with his distinctive appearance and enigmatic identity. Metro reported that the unnamed guard is a member of the security team protecting King Charles III during his coronation on May 6th. Formerly serving Queen Elizabeth II, the guard, adorned with a white beard, has drawn social media fascination since his debut on September 8th, 2022, according to Metro.

 

Last year, the guard gained notoriety for pushing away a woman’s phone while she filmed King Charles III. On multiple occasions, he urged people to “put down their phones and enjoy the moment.” Since then, he’s been seen protecting King Charles III as a guard. Some videos depict him entering Buckingham Palace with an unusual “cane.” Speculations abound that the cane conceals a disguised firearm. Meanwhile, many speculate he hails from the Secret Service.

 

Social media praises the guard’s striking appearance, with some even suggesting he could play James Bond in a film.

According to Metro, King Charles III’s coronation on May 6th boasted tight security, with a record 11,500 police officers deployed for the grand event.

 

British security forces spent months preparing for King Charles III’s coronation, with an estimated 100 heads of state and other high-ranking figures attending the ceremony.

 

In a special moment, Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby performed the “anointing” ritual on King Charles III’s hands, chest, and head. This was deemed the holiest ceremony during the May 6th coronation and was televised.

 

Notably, the anointing ceremony occurred behind a three-sided screen, purportedly for privacy, with one side depicting a tree with the names of all 56 Commonwealth nations on its leaves.
