Royal Family Celebrates First Anniversary of King Charles III and Queen Camilla’s Coronation
The Royal Family invited people to share their favorite memories of King Charles III and Queen Camilla’s Coronation as part of the one-year anniversary celebration. Gun salutes across London, including 41 volleys from the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery and a 62-gun salute from the Honourable Artillery Company, marked the occasion.
In a tweet, the Royal Family reflected on the Coronation Weekend’s highlights, including a carriage procession, fly-past, Royal Salute, concert, and volunteering initiative, encouraging followers to share their cherished memories. Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, praised King Charles’s sense of duty and openness about his health challenges during the past year.
King Charles resumed public engagements after receiving outpatient cancer treatment, attending events such as a visit to a cancer centre, a presentation ceremony at Buckingham Palace, and the Royal Windsor Horse Show. His return to public life follows his Coronation on May 6, 2023, a significant event attended by heads of state, celebrities, and family members, including the Duke of Sussex and the Duke of York.
