Blake Lively took to her Instagram Story on Wednesday, April 10, to share a heartfelt message about her husband, Ryan Reynolds, while promoting his upcoming movie, If. The 36-year-old actress, known for her role in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, expressed how Ryan, 47, embodies everything she ever dreamed of. Alongside posting the trailer for the new live-action/animated comedy crossover film, Blake’s message conveyed a sense of admiration and affection for her partner of 12 years.
In her message, Blake affectionately wrote, “Everything I believed as a kid did turn out to be true… his name is @vancityreynolds.” She then playfully quipped about Ryan’s Instagram handle, adding, “Well, his legal name isn’t At Vancity Reynolds.” This lighthearted banter between the couple showcases their playful and loving relationship for all to see.
While she playfully teased the Deadpool star’s social media handle, she also had praise for him and his upcoming film. “But he is dreamy and he is in @ifmovie, which is also pure magic,” she wrote, tagging director John Krasinski with heart emojis.
Scheduled for release on May 17, If stars Ryan alongside Cailey Fleming as his young neighbor. Directed by John Krasinski, who also portrays Cailey’s father, the film introduces animated beings known as Ifs. In addition to Ryan and Cailey, the star-studded cast includes voices from Emily Blunt, George Clooney, Bradley Cooper, Matt Damon, Maya Rudolph, and many more.
