Prince Harry Urged to Make Peace with Prince William Amid Royal Family Crisis—Is a Reconciliation on the Horizon?

Prince William's Cancellation Shows 'Fragility' of the Royal Family

Prince Harry has been advised to end his feud with his brother, Prince William, by taking the initiative to reconcile.

The brothers have been in conflict since Harry stepped down as a senior royal in 2020. Since then, Harry has made several critical statements about the royal family, particularly targeting William.

Despite the ongoing rift, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams has encouraged Harry to abandon his “petulant” behavior and reach out to his older brother.

Fitzwilliams’ advice comes after Harry once again avoided a family event, ignoring William’s 42nd birthday. He emphasized that Harry making the first move could be crucial, especially as William is currently coping with their father, King Charles, battling cancer and the responsibilities of his wife, Princess Kate.

In an interview with The Sun, Fitzwilliams expressed uncertainty about how Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, would respond to the family’s health issues. He suggested it would be “highly insensitive” for them to launch further attacks on the family at this time.

Fitzwilliams stated, “It’s clear that any rift is undesirable, and it becomes even more so when health issues are involved.” He added that it would be a positive step if the Sussexes publicly expressed something nice about the other royals.

He pointed out that since Harry has been publicly critical of his family, he should be the one to initiate reconciliation. However, he also stressed the importance of both sides acknowledging their mistakes for any reconciliation to be successful, noting that “relationships are reciprocal.”

Despite this, Fitzwilliams expressed concern that deep mutual mistrust may have already developed due to the prolonged feud.
