Everyone Said The Same Thing About Cameron Brink’s WNBA Debut

Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese may be getting all the attention of the WNBA rookies, but Cameron Brink might be the name to watch in the league’s Rookie of the Year race.

Brink, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Los Angeles Sparks and former Stanford star, made her WNBA debut Wednesday night. The 6-foot-4 forward put on a show with Kim Kardashian in attendance.

Brink finished with 11 points, four assists and two rebounds in the Sparks’ 92-81 loss to the Atlanta Dream. While her stats don’t pop off the sheet, she made a few head-turning plays that are all over social media.

In the second quarter, Brink put her defender on skates out on the perimeter before dishing a Nikola Jokic-like assist to her teammate for an easy bucket at the rim. The superstar potential is there, she just needs to get more WNBA reps.

Fans are convinced Brink will challenge both Clark and Reese for the WNBA’s Rookie of the Year award. She is more than capable of having the best season of the three.

We’ll see what Brink is capable of this Saturday when the LA Sparks battle the defending champion Las Vegas Aces.
