Carmelo Anthony has assured that he does not missing out on a move to the Miami Heat back in the days when the team was dominating the NBA.

That Miami Heat side made it to four successive NBA Finals from the 2010/11 season to the 2013/14 campaign, winning two and losing two, and was powered by the famous ‘Big Three’ of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh.

On top of that, Anthony is a well-known friend of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade which further fuelled rumors back in the day.

However, recently speaking on Podcast P with Paul George, Carmelo Anthony expressed that he had no regret, although he did confirm that he had spoken about the possibility of signing for the Miami Heat with the aforementioned duo.

Carmelo was with the Denver Nuggets when the rumors began, and revealed that the Big Three almost never happened.

“Before the Miami Heat Big Three, it was talks about me and LeBron,” Anthony said.

“We just never knew where,” before claiming to have asked LeBron if he was going to New York. “I ain’t going to Cleveland. You can come to Denver.”

However, the deal never happened, and Anthony explained that he was keen to write history with the Nuggets rather than destroy all that he was creating there.

“I wasn’t ready to go partnering up because I was building my own sh**,” he stated.

Anthony revealed Kobe’s thoughts on JJ Redick

In an another recent discussion, this time on his podcast, Anthony shared an anecdote that highlighted the tension between Kobe Bryant and now LA Lakers coach JJ Redick, claiming that the late superstar was not a fan.

I remember Kobe couldn’t stand J.J. Redick. I hope somebody vouches for me on this story, I swear to God, if anybody was on that, they know.

“The moral of the story is Kobe took it personal against J.J. Redick in practice, because he got tired of how Coach K kept talking about J.J. Redick.

“Kobe took it very, very personal to the point where he was running through screens in practice, he was denying J.J. the ball, he was fouling the s- out of J.J. I’m like, ‘Damn, why are you treating the young boy like that?'”
