Travis Kelce’s ringtone, as confirmed by his Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, is not from Taylor Swift’s music but it is a force to be reckoned with.

Travis Kelce phone ringtone is something out of your wildest dreams…or nightmares.

The Kansas City Chiefs star—who is dating Taylor Swift—was seen receiving a call mid-interview in a throwback video shared on the X page of his and brother Jason Kelce‘s New Heights podcast July 23. His ringtone appears to be audio of Star Wars droid R2-D2’s trademark scream.

The post was captioned, “Trav had the greatest ringtone of all time in 2015.”

The athlete’s teammate, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, then weighed in, sharing the video and writing on X, “That man still has that ringtone lol.”

This is not the only movie-inspired ringtone Travis has used in recent years. In 2023, WSJ. Magazine noted in an interview with the NFL star that the ringtone on his phone is the late Chris Farley screaming, “For the love of GOD!”—one of his signature quotes, from the 1995 comedy movie Tommy Boy.

He’s even used personalized ringtones before—at least, jokingly using a track called “Travis Is a Champion” for his 2023 Campbell’s soup commercial with Jason and their mom Donna Kelce.

But these days, Travis can’t come to the phone right now. Why? ‘Cause he’s been traveling the world with Taylor and cheering in the stands at her Eras Tour concerts.

He even hung out Patrick and his wife Brittany Mahomes at her show in Amsterdam and joined his girlfriend onstage at London’s Wembley Stadium to make his Eras stage debut.

More recently, he and Patrick, who have won three Super Bowls together with the Chiefs since 2020, reunited with their teammates at their training camp and are busy preparing for the 2024-25 NFL season, which begins in September.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s love story is “very serious” and unlike anything either of the stars have found themselves in before, according to insiders.

The couple, who started dating last summer, is “very, very happy together,” as one source told People.

“They’re very serious about each other, and the relationship feels different for both of them,” the insider continued.

July 6, 2024: With their one-year anniversary on the horizon, Swift and Kelce reached a new level of cute when Taylor mashed up three super romantic songs during her concert, bringing fans to tears.

For the first time in 16 years, Swift performed “Mary’s Song” from her debut album. The deep cut has come to represent Swift and Kelce’s relationship to many fans thanks to a particularly prophetic lyric—which she made sure to include in the surprise song mashup with “Everything Has Changed” and “So High School,” a song largely believed to have been written about Kelce. “I’ll be 87, you’ll be 89,” Swift sang with a knowing smile, per fan recordings. While both Kelce and Swift were born in 1989, the 34-year-old NFL player wears the number “87” on his Chiefs jersey in honor of his older brother Jason Kelce.

July 2, 2024: Insiders open up about the state of their relationship. Spoiler: It’s good. “They really are very, very happy together,” a source tells People. “They’re very serious about each other, and the relationship feels different for both of them.”

“They have so much fun together, and it just works,” they added. “It’s funny to their friends because at first everyone wondered what they had in common, but you realize how similar they are. They both wear their hearts on their sleeves and are all in with everything they do, whether it’s career, family, or friends.”

Heading into football season, the insider says, the pair are gonna make it work (The Eras Tour doesn’t wrap until December). “Football is definitely still [Kelce’s] priority but so is his relationship. He makes romantic gestures to show he’s thinking of her when they’re apart. She’s going to try to attend as many games as possible.”

July 1, 2024: After attending a teammate’s wedding, Kelce flies to Dublin to surprise Swift at her show, arriving midconcert, to the singer’s delight.

June 22, 2024: It’s grid official! Swift officially debuts the relationship on Instagram when she wishes Prince William a happy birthday and posts a picture of the royal, two of his kids, herself, and Kelce.

May 12, 2024: Like the supportive boyfriend that he is, Kelce flew to Paris (it’s the City of Love, after all) to see Swift perform the last of four Eras Tour shows in the French capital, per People. Fans on X posted a video of Kelce, along with noted Swift bestie Gigi Hadid and boyfriend Bradley Cooper, enjoying the show from a private box.

February, 2024: Kelce’s coaches on the Chiefs have started spilling the tea on the early days of Traylor. On The Sports Shop With Reese and K-Mac podcast, Kansas City coach Dave Merritt said that Swift had been quietly coming to support her man before she was on the jumbotron at every NFL game she attended. “When she started to come around, it was privately,” Merritt said, per Us Weekly. “She was coming into the stadiums without people really knowing until the camera put a big spotlight on it.”

January 30, 2024: You don’t need to be a master lip reader to hear Kelce tell Swift “I love you” after his playoffs win. In videos posted to social media, as Kelce approaches Swift on the field, you can hear him say, “Tay, I’m gonna go enjoy with the guys. Love you,” before going in for the hug.

At the Chiefs versus Ravens playoff game that sent the Chiefs to the Super Bowl, Swift was spotted wearing a few pieces of especially meaningful jewelry. Per Page Six, Swift was wearing a ring with a miniature version of Kelce’s jersey on it, given to her by Donna Kelce (perhaps the ultimate signal that she’s gained Mama Kelce’s approval). Even more adorable, however, was the diamond friendship bracelet Swift wore, which was a gift from her boyfriend himself. The tennis bracelet featured three letter charms reading “TNT” and, according to the brand, Kelce also purchased a matching version for himself.
