Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark have been pinned against each other for the past few years. The “rivalry” started in college when Clark was dominating with the Iowa Hawkeyes and Reese was competing at a high level for the LSU Tigers.

Since their head-to-head duals in the collegiate atmosphere, both women were drafted to the WNBA in 2024. Clark was selected as the No. 1 overall pick to the Indiana Fever, while Reese heard her name called at No. 7 to the Chicago Sky.

They’ve both been massive additions to the WNBA, influencing viewership and ticket sales immediately. It could be seen as a positive note that Clark and Reese are uplifting the league, but there’s a popular opinion that Clark is the only one getting credit for impacting the WNBA and she’s receiving favoritism from many.

Clark has been getting bashed all over social media for the favor the WNBA treats her with. NBA analyst Charles Barkley recently went on air to show respect and support for Clark.

Barkley was attempting to tip his hat to Clark and the rise of the WNBA, but, again fans and media personnel were aggravated over the bias of one player.

Following the Sky’s recent 90-81 victory over Breanna Stewart and the New York Liberty, Reese took to X to speak on the recent debate.

The post was deleted on Friday, but it was in the line of subtle disrespect toward Barkley and Clark. WNBA fans all over social media took clear offense to Reese’s comments, mentioning she and Clark should be working together to build the WNBA.
