Angel Reese will play her first WNBA preseason game for the Chicago Sky against the Minnesota Lynx on Friday night.
Angel Reese, the top draft pick of the WNBA’s Chicago Sky, recently sat down with NBC Chicago for a one-on-one interview when she got asked whether she and the Chicago Bears’ No. 1 over draft pick Caleb Williams had been in touch.
“Yeah, that’s my dog,” Reese said of her relationship with Williams. “Yeah, me and Caleb are cool. One of my good friends are best friends with him that are in my friend group.”
“Just being able to have another DMV tie, another amazing player … so we lit right now. We turning the city up right now,” she said. “[Caleb and I] talked after he got drafted. I don’t know when he’s gonna be here, but we’re all gonna hang out. My friend is coming down, and we’re all gonna hang out, cause we’re cool. So I’m excited.”
Chicago’s pro sports teams have welcomed some incredible athletes to their teams recently. In the 2023 NHL Draft, Connor Bedard was selected by the Blackhawks as the first overall choice. The Chicago Sky recently selected Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso. Most famously, on April 25th, the Bears selected Caleb Williams with the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
When it comes to her personal life, Reese had been dating Florida State basketball player Cam’Ron Fletcher in 2023, but the two of them seemed to have a very public breakup as they threw subtle shots at one another.
Reese then announced that she and Fletcher broke up and that she’s single during a March 2024 Instagram Live video.
“Yeah, I’m single,” she said during the live Q&A video, per TMZ. “I don’t got no man. Don’t attach me to no man. That’s all I’mma say. That’s it.”
Reese then added, “I do what’s best for me, that’s it. I’m the catch! Let’s not get it twisted.”
Caleb Williams showed off his girlfriend, Alina Thyregod, when they both showed up to the NFL Draft together. Williams had been dating Valery Orellana since 2020, but that relationship had clearly ended behind closed doors.
