Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark has been improving during her most recent games in the WNBA, the Indiana Fever is lucky to have her by their side.
Just this past week, she broke an All-Time WNBA record by delivering 19 dimes for her teammates in the game against the Dallas Wings. Clark also casually dropped 24 points and 6 rebounds ont he same game.
Leading up to the WNBA All-Star Weekend, Clark took some time to attend the skills challenge to support her teammate Kelsey Mitchell. Caitlin attended the event with many of hr indiana Fever teammates that had other major stars perform in fron of them at Footprint Center in Phoenix, AZ. On Friday, there were two specific contests that took place and they had one clear winner.
Who won the Skills Challenge and Three Point contest?
For the WNBA skills challenge, the linneup of contestants was pretty stackd with some of the big names in the league. We have Sophie Cunnigham from the Phoenix Mercury as the local star. Brittney Griner was also another local talent joining the fun. Connecticut Sun’s Marina Mabrey was there.
Indiana Fever’s Kelsey Mitchell also attended. But none of them was able to beat Atlanta Dream’s Allisha Grey, who showed off all the trophies she won on this talent-packed evening. All of this was the perfect prelude for what’s going down on Saturday, which will have a packed crowd in Phoenix.
Another interesting event on Friday was the 3×3 pick up gamebtween the U-23 Olympic Team against the women’s Team USA that is currently preparing for the Paris Olympics.
At the end of the game, Team USA was the winner with a final score of 19-16. Everybody was enjoying the good time in all three events, especialy Caitlin Clark with all his teammates. Little by little, Clark has managed to become a driving force in the league and she is slowly getting to earnt he respect of her peers.
Although the beginning was difficult for her and there seemed to be a lot of animosity, the reality is that everybody will end up respecting a player who works hard and has this much talent to offer.
