Hanna Cavinder, a former guard for Miami, has made a comeback. Both Cavinder Twins are set to return to college basketball next season, with Hanna Cavinder recently deciding to rejoin the University of Miami after a year-long hiatus from the sport. The twins’ last appearance for Miami was during the 2022-2023 season before they stepped away to explore other opportunities, such as featuring in WWE’s NXT brand.

Haley Cavinder, Hanna’s sister, utilized the transfer portal and ultimately moved to TCU after reentering basketball last year. She was the first to announce her return, taking advantage of the additional year of eligibility granted by the NCAA amid the coronavirus pandemic last November. Hanna Cavinder’s announcement, accompanied by a video of her time at Miami, concluded with an orange heart emoji.
The twins made waves by participating in a congressional roundtable discussion focused on issues surrounding Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) in collegiate sports. Despite facing criticism from some fans, the Cavinder twins voiced their support for NIL and its transformative impact on many student-athletes.
Their journey in the NIL realm began in 2021 when they unveiled their inaugural deal with Boost Mobile in Times Square, marking the dawn of a new era in college sports. Since then, leveraging their collective social media following exceeding 5 million, they’ve inked agreements with a plethora of brands including Champs Sports, Raising Cane’s, Intuit TurboTax, Core Hydration, WWE, PSD Underwear, Six Star Pro Nutrition, Caktus AI, and numerous others, as reported by On3.com.
The Cavinder Twins garnered attention recently when they took to Tinder in search of a suitable match for Hanna Cavinder to join her sister Haley and Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson on a double date. Their planned itinerary, which included pickleball, ensured a delightful time for all involved in the double date.
Hanna Cavinder Has The Skills to Take Her Talents To The WNBA
Hanna Cavinder will use her final season of eligibility at Miami, and she has shown in the past that she is more than just a pretty face with a large social media following.
Throughout 123 career games, Cavinder averaged 12.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. She began her career at Fresno State, where she was named to the All-Mountain West team in consecutive seasons. After averaging 15.7 points per game in 2019–20, she was also selected to the Mountain West All-Freshman Team.
