At this point, NBA fans are now used to Caitlin Clark setting all sorts of WNBA records in what has been an incredible debut campaign. However, it hasn’t been all good for Indiana Fever’s rookie sensation.

On Sunday, Clark made headlines for all the wrong reasons after achieving a feat that nobody would be proud of. This is after the 22-year-old set a new all-time record for the most turnovers in a single season with 139.

The worst part probably has to be the fact that Clark reached this unwanted mark with 15 games left to play in the regular season.
Naturally, the naysayers were loud and proud as they brutally roasted Clark for this rather embarrassing feat.

Caitlin Clark got a stern warning message from ex-WNBA star Tamika Catchings.
“Lmao and I was told she was the rookie of the year. What a joke,” read a tweet.

“Ngl… This might lose her the ROTY award,” reacted another fan.

“She’s gonna shatter the turnover record by 500,” predicted another.

These mean tweets, however, have conveniently overlooked the fact that Clark also surpassed the great Sue Bird’s record for the second-most assists by a rookie in a single season. After dishing out another six dimes against the Lynx, Clark is now up to 194 assists on the season—again, with 15 games still remaining.
