Big-name athletes from all over the word of sports have been asked to weigh in with their opinions on the superstardom of Caitlin Clark.

Earlier this month at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City, all-time great tennis star Serena Williams joined the growing list of icons to give their thoughts.

Clark’s arrival in the WNBA has come with unprecedented publicity — both positive and negative.

Williams knows a thing or two about receiving hate as a talented, budding superstar. As such, she was able to give some insightful advice for the WNBA’s No. 1 overall pick.

“If people are negative, it’s because they can’t do what you do,” Williams said.

Williams’ message for Clark was all over social media.

Clark’s superstardom has brought countless new eyes to the WNBA game. With that extra attention comes a lot of positives, but negativity toward the Indiana Fever rookie is inevitable.

Fortunately, it appears Clark is doing an excellent job of blocking out that negativity.
