In case you missed it, Minnesota Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve stated before Sunday’s game against the Indiana Fever that she doesn’t “give two s**ts” about the warm welcome Caitlin Clark was expected to receive in the Target Center in Minneapolis.

Well, Reeve’s blunt message may have just backfired on her after Clark and the Fever took down the Lynx on their own home floor, 81-74.

It was a hard-fought encounter between two unrelenting sides but ultimately, Indiana managed to come out on top. For good measure, it was Clark who sealed the victory late in the game with a crucial rebound and a couple of free throws.
It was at that point in the contest when Clark clapped back at Reeve with a savage move on the court — at least in the eyes of some WNBA fans:

“Caitlin Clark pumping up Reeve’s own crowd while staring her down, I know she gotta be sick,” read one tweet.

“Probably staring at Reeve on her way to the free throw line,” observed a fan.

“This story continues to be so incredibly interesting. Caitlin Clark goes on the road, sells out another building — this one in Minneapolis filled with Iowa fans — leads Indiana to a big upset win over US Olympic coach Cheryl Reeve and celebrates like it’s a home game. Of course,” pointed out a reporter.

“That loud clap was for you know who…. Love it,” surmised another fan.
