In Shenango Township, PA, a serious accident occurred when a New Castle Transit Authority bus collided with an SUV on Monday evening. The collision took place around 5 p.m. at the intersection of New Butler Road and Willowbrook Road. According to Shenango Township Fire Chief David Rishel, the SUV entered the bus’s path, leading to the crash. The driver of the SUV was trapped in her vehicle and it took emergency crews about 30 minutes to extricate her. She was subsequently airlifted to a local hospital for treatment. The bus driver, who was the sole occupant of the bus at the time, was unharmed.
